Gambit Gaming Dota 2 roster disbands

After several unsatisfactory results, the Dota 2 team for Gambit Gaming has decided to disband. The team failed to qualify for a single Dota Pro Circuit tournament and that seems to be the final thread in the straw. With their inability to qualify for TI8, the team just seemed a bad investment for the organization.

Due to unsatisfactory results Gambit Esports terminates contracts with Dota 2 division’s players and coach. The last tournament featuring this line-up was CIS Qualifier for The International 8, where Gambit Dota 2 secured 5th place finish.

Gambit Esports launched Dota 2 division in May of 2017. Over this period of time the team secured multiple victories and top 3 finishes at online tournaments, but wasn’t able to qualify for a single Dota Pro Circuit tournament.

Our future plans regarding Dota 2 division will be announced at a later date.
