Epic Games is always improvising their game and the outreach of their game. Fortnite is definitely one of the most popular games and it has reached farther into mainstream media than many other games. We have seen several influencers and football stars refer to Fortnite in public.
In yet another standout event, Fortnite and Marshmello managed to host a digital concert live during the game. The event was publicised by both parties a few days before the date. It was attended by millions of young players. For many of these players, it was the first ever concert; a beautiful experience without the dangers of going to a live concert.
Holy!!! We just made history today. We can all tell our kids one day that we attended the first ever virtual concert @FortniteGame

You can check out Marshmello’s official video of the entire event below.
The event took place at Pleasant Park in the Fortnite Battle Royale map. The event was attended by millions of young players. Epic Games ensured that players were not allowed to shoot at others. In case anyone died, they would respawn immediately based on the team rumble mode.

The stage was full of colours with life-size Fortnite holograms. With Music blasting throughout Pleasant park, it was a sight to behold. This event draws inspiration from the Purple Cube event a few weeks ago. The event broadcasted Epic Games ability to hold a singular event live throughout all the matches instantaneously. Something similar happened for Marshmello and it was one of the most interesting events in Fortnite. We have seen Gaming events similar to this in the past, however, most of the big esports games do not feature such events. Fortnite’s popularity and the concept of a digital concert live in-game is definitely unique in many ways.
Epic Games and Fortnite have set the bar in so many ways throughout the gaming industry and everyone else is playing catch-up. They're putting on a show, literally.

We can only wait and hope to see more innovative ideas by Epic Games in the future.
