The Swedish teams NIP and Fnatic has decided to pull out of Starseries 6. A tournament is an eight-day event starting from 7th of October 2018. The two Swedish teams’ decision comes just a few weeks before the start of the tournament. It will definitely be a tough task for Starladder as they scramble to find new teams to join their event.
Starladder I-League Season 6 will take place at the Kiev Cybersport Arena. It has a prize pool of $300,000 and will have sixteen teams in participation. The Group stage will feature BO1 Swiss format while the Playoffs are all BO3 single elimination matches.

The Fnatic roster for FaceIT London Major
The two Swedish teams, once considered to be strong teams in their time, don’t have the same effect anymore. Fnatic seemed to be tilted post their loss at the Major and it was the first time that Fnatic did not make it to a CS: GO Major Playoffs. One of the open slots at Starladder will be filled by Vega Squadron.
There will not be an exclusive League by ESL.
Pronax suggested that the reason for NIP and Fnatic pulling out of Starladder might be the rumour of an exclusive league. There have been attempts in the past [ especially by ESL] to host an exclusive league and limiting teams to attend their events only. However, after the public backlash, they did not go through with the plan.

Pronax stirred up a controversy by raising the issue of an exclusive ESL league once again.

But Ulrich Shchulze was quick to reply with a denial of any such league.
This confirmation by ESL representative puts to rest any speculations about the possibility of Valve supporting an exclusive league. Currently, CS: GO does not have a closed esports scene and any tournament organiser can host tournaments. This is in contrast to that of League of Legends, Overwatch League and Dota 2 where the game developers are intrinsically involved in the structure of the esports scene.
