Florida Mayhem is looking to rebuild their Overwatch League roster. Their latest addition of Scott “BEARHANDS” Tester is definitely a step in the right direction. Bearhands brings with him a lot of experience having helped New York Excelsior dominate Season 1. He was instrumental in choosing and forming the final team for New York Excelsior. He joins the Florida Mayhem as the Assistant General Manager and Head of Scouting.
“I’m really excited to join the Florida Mayhem for Season 2 of the Overwatch League,” says Scott. “I’m eager to learn from an established esports organization that has a long history in Overwatch. Looking forward to working with Mayhem and contributing my insight and experience wherever I can.”
Since his time on NYXL, Bearhands has been involved in Team USA. His familiarity with the North American players and talent makes him a prime addition to the Florida Mayhem team. For most of the first season, Florida Mayhem was considered to be the second weakest team in the League. They were above Shanghai Dragons, but they lacked synergy and coordination on their roster. This resulted in the team being unable to make it past the other OWL teams.
“I look forward to working with an individual as experienced as Scott. I am confident that with Scott’s insight we can build a long term structure for success with Mayhem and Mayhem Academy” said GM, Matthew Akhavan.
The team continues to grow!
Please welcome, Scott "BEARHANDS" Tester as Assistant General Manager.
Scott will also aid in future talent scouting for Mayhem.

The splendid performance by the team surprised several analysts as many expected the finals to be much closer than it was. Regardless Leaf had a huge role to play in their journey to winning the Contenders Europe.
