The FaceIT London Major is one of the two CS: GO Majors for 2018. The event which currently has its group stage underway ran into technical difficulties during Day 1. The final game of Day 1 was postponed to Day 2. This is not something that you expect from the Major of one of the most popular esports titles in 2018.
Due to this evening's unforeseen network outage at Twickenham Stadium, we will be unable to broadcast today's final match, Astralis vs. compLexity. The match will be played on stream, tomorrow morning, at 10AM BST.

Twickenham Stadium, London
An internet outage saw the entire Twickenham Stadium go offline during the last few hours of Day 1. FaceIT did have a backup plan which should have ensured a seamless near-instant switchover in case of an internet outage ( as was the case). However, something went wrong and they are currently investigating the issue with the ISP.
The FaceIT Statement.
You can read the statement by the FaceIT representative below.
As standard, we have two separate fibre lines to the venue, with the second being an automatic redundancy for near-instant switchover if the first line fails.
Last night, our primary line failed due to some issues between the ISP and the venue.
The redundancy measures and the backup line should have kicked in automatically at that point, but the redundancy switchover failed for reasons we are still investigating with the ISP.
At that point, due to the level of the issue, the last resort of the ISP is to send an engineer to the site to fix. Due to the time of the issues (after 10 PM BST) the engineer could not arrive on site until late in the night.
Been up since 7:00 to play the first game of the day, and now we are headed to bed not knowing who we play or at what time we play. 🤨

FaceIT assures us that the setup for the Majors is the same as the Minors. The minors saw a seamless transition between the two lines without any hiccups. As a result of this change in schedule all the matches for Day 2 have been moved back by at least one and a half hour.
We hope this answers some questions that have arisen since yesterday, and that we can continue enjoying the FACEIT London Major as it was always intended to be.
Astralis did play against Complexity early on Day 2. They decimated the North Americans on Inferno. The final score for this match was 16-4. Astralis will next play Rogue while Complexity moves to the Round 2 Low matches against Space Soldiers. You can watch the matches live on Twitch.
