28-year-old Kevin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans was recently put on the bench of the G2 roster. His presence in the French scene has seen tumultuous times. Despite receiving widespread acknowledgement as one of the best In-Game Leaders in the game, the player has not transitioned it into results. When he was on Titan; they were considered to be one of the strongest teams in the world. However, they were extremely inconsistent and reliant on KennyS as their Main player. He was the entry fragger, the top scorer and Ex6tenz’s ace card. Over time, that team disbanded and Ex6tenz has fought his way through the Tier two scene.

The latest edition of G2 saw Ex6tenz trying to enable the French players to become a top contender once again. However, due to the lack of form on multiple players; the team was extremely unsuccessful. It was not really a big surprise to see Ex6tenz and Smithzz back on the bench of the organisation.

The Unfulfilled Dream of winning a CS: GO Major.

I will not retire until I win a Major

Kevin has vowed that he will not retire from competitive Counter-Strike till he wins a CS: GO Major. Considered to be one of the best players in the scene when it comes to leading a team; Ex6tenz has been extremely unlucky in the French scene.

In a statement regarding his career, Ex6tenz mentions that he might go for an International team in the near future. Communication will not be a huge issue since the player is well-versed in the English language.

You can read his statement here.

Ex6tenz Statement

A few weeks have passed since the roster change at G2 and I have used that time to think about the direction I should take in my career. It’s time for me to get back on track and look at my future!

This might come as a surprise but my intention is to go to the international scene. I have been active in the French one for more than 10 years and I’ve certainly made my mark here, having played with many of today’s active players. Since I entered a certain routine, I am really motivated to discover other things, such as other visions of the game, other principles, other mentalities, etc. Making a big change and having a fresh start is definitely what I want to explore first.

Going to live and play with an NA team? Another continent maybe? Staying in Europe but joining an international team? Continuing to work as a team leader or move on to a playing career more focused on my personal development? There are many options to which I am open to and my decision will be mainly based on the people that compose the team, their ambition, their approach to the job, and so on. It will be a matter of feeling at the end of the day.

I will carefully consider every single opportunity and the challenge of tackling the language barrier is only an additional source of motivation for me. In the meantime, you are going to see me quite active on Twitch and online in CS to keep me going!

Happy Holidays and see you soon! xoxo
