Esports has long been seen as something for the younger generation. While it is true that a majority of the player and the viewers are very young in age, is the same true for the players as well?
Traditionally esports has seen very young players. It is not uncommon to see most of the player retire before the age of 30. However is there enough data to back these claims? We definitely do not think that there is enough statistical data to back any claims that esports players need to be below thirty years of age. Esports itself is in a very nascent stage and it is wrong to generalize any such assumptions.
Seeing esports veterans do well at 30+ in reflex-intensive games breaks a myth or two about competitive gaming.
