The ESL Pro League LAN Finals will be open to the general public. This is a first for the event organiser as they usually keep the playoffs open to the general public. The ESL Pro League LAN Finals will take place in Sao Paolo. It will have its group stage played in front of a live audience. The Group days of the event take place on December 5-6, 2018.
Post the Group stage the teams move on to the playoffs. All playoff matches are Best of Three series with the Grand finals being a Best of Five matchups.
The team list for the event includes several of the top teams in Counter-Strike. These teams are spread across the world. With over $750,000 in Prize money up for grabs, we can be sure to be witness to some exciting CS: GO.

The Format
The tournament has a very interesting format. The general structure of the tournament will see the standard double elimination GSL Format. The seeding for the groups is based on the teams’ online placements. The ESL Pro league LAN Finals was preceded by a lengthy online qualification process. The best teams in the online league made it through to the LAN Finals.
The top three teams from each group advance to the playoffs:
- Group stage winners advance to the Semifinals
- The Group stage runners-up advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds
- Group stage 3rd place teams advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds
