Update: Epic Games has re-enabled the Baller in the game

In Fortnite: Battle Royale, the Baller was very popular. Now it has gone and the fans are not happy about it. Epic promises to bring it back very soon.
What happened to the Baller? The Baller in Fortnite is a kind of hamster ball vehicle. It is very popular and provided a lot of fun for many players. But in a tweet, the developers announced that the fun hamster ball would be disabled until further notice.
We've temporarily disabled The Baller while we investigate a stability issue.

What are the reasons for the Baller shutdown?
Concrete reasons for this measure were not mentioned at Epic. Probably, there were some problems with it regarding stability.
Recently, there were always reports of how players shoot themselves with a Baller to absurd heights. So they then balled across the sky and were able to overcome long distances at a safe height. A glitch that was certainly not intended by the developer and should be fixed.

When will the Baller come back? Epic did not name an appointment, but they plan to return the Baller as soon as possible. It was really just a short-term removal from the game.
Community worries about the Baller
This is what the community thinks: Many players love the Baller and all the fun stunts and memes that can be made out of and with it. The Baller fans find it very stupid that Epic Games removed this vehicle from the game. One is afraid that it will never come back or will not be seen for a long time. Something similar happened with the driftboard in Season 7.
However, some players hate the Baller and are celebrating that the funny Hamster Ball is no longer in the game. Especially among professionals, the Baller is not popular and some players complained that people roll around with a Ballern and so do not participate in the game until the endgame.
The Casuals want: Casual players usually want loads of fun. Whether they win or their statistics are good is a minor matter. Rather, it’s about having fun. There are scenes like an airplane crashing through buildings or a hamster ball sailing through the skies. You laugh and have fun.

Professionals want that: Pro gamers earn money with Fortnite and tackle it professionally. A game that is constantly changing and then adds stupid fun items that ruin the balance of the game is a horror to them. In addition, Epic is notorious for bringing such innovations before big tournaments without warning. Just imagine, for the next Champions League game in football, the regulatory suddenly allows 15 men per team and the ball would be twice as big.
