Dreamhack Open Winter will take place from November 30 to December 2 Jönköping, Sweden. The tournament is one of the staple events in Counter-Strike history. It was a former Major event in the past. The current edition will see a total of eight teams competing at the Elmia Convention Center. The teams will play out a Double elimination format Group stage for a prize pool of $100,000.
Dreamhack has now announced the Groups for the event. There will be two groups of four teams each. Group A includes Complexity, LDLC, Heroic and X6tence Gaming. The second Group B includes Optic, ENCE, G2 Esports and Bravado Gaming.

Group A
The first group will see fierce competition between Complexity and Heroic. The North American squad has looked extremely strong on specific maps like Inferno and Train. However, their lack of depth in the map pool could be a big problem for the squad. They do have players like Stanislaw and Shahzam who have the experience to pull the squad ahead. However, they also are quite inconsistent when it comes to their results. They perform admirably well against teams which are well-established and are set in their ways. But their lack of performance against Tier 2 rosters is definitely something that can be an obstacle for the team’s placements in big tournaments.
LDLC is also another team that is looking extremely strong in their new roster. The LDLC roster has the likes of devoduvek, Alex, AmanEk on their team. The biggest asset for this team is their synergy and their performance together. They rely on each other’s positioning and skill. Their acceptance of the team’s trust is what makes this team extremely strong. Recently they have put forth strong results and there is hope for the team’s future.
Group B
Finnish roster ENCE is obviously the best team in this Group. They were the winners of Starseries & I-League Season 6 and looked extremely good. AleksiB is one of the freshest faces amongst In game leaders and it is great to see him lead the team from the front. The young prodigy Sergej is also looking sharp even against the best teams in the world.
Allu is proving to be an excellent AWPer for the team and returning to form with his aggressive positioning. Together this team has a lot of firepower and one can say that their performance is a bit underwhelming. We can only expect better performances from the team in the future.
