Chinese team Cyberzen is the final confirmed team name for the upcoming Starladder tournament. They qualified for the event after winning the Asian qualifiers 3-1 against Ehome. The Asian qualifier saw several strong teams playing for a spot at the Starladder event. We will see Cyberzen in Shanghai next year competing against some top teams.
Starseries & I-League Season 7 starts on 30th of March and will continue till the 7th of April. Ofcourse, the tournament already has confirmed teams such as Faze Clan, BIG Gaming, Team Liquid, Astralis amongst others. It has a total prize pool of $500,000 which is a significant step forward for the tournament.
The Qualifier
The Final match of the Asian qualifier was a series of five maps. Ehome, coming from the upper bracket naturally had a 1 map advantage. The first map in play was Dust 2, a map pick for Cyberzen. The Chinese team has put on a strong showing in all three maps. They were able to defeat Ehome in three straight maps, which is a testimony to their strength in the Asian scene.
Zhen ‘HZ’ Huang and Lifan ‘Viva’ Ran had a really strong showing on the three maps. Both of them had more than 55 frags across the three maps. The final scores for the series were as follows:
