The Becker College, in partnership with Team Genji and Helix eSports, launched the first “path to pro” of Apex Legends, which combines eSports with higher education. The top Apex Legends high school players will have the opportunity to get the admission to Becker College through eSports.
According to Becker College’s general director for eSports, Timothy Loew, the goal is to give the best Apex Legends players a unique opportunity to combine their talents with education. As the site of the first university export program in Massachusetts and the first-degree course in eSports management in the United States, Becker College is proud to shape the future of competitive gaming in collaboration with two of the leading exporting brands: Genji and Helix.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant and also the students of Becker College will be able to participate in the Helix Esports Apex Legends Combine Tournament at the beginning of April.
In this event, the evaluation of aspiring fellows will take place by the Genji Team’s big data analysis platform and Becker College staff. The most deserving players, according to the data collected during the tournament, will be invited to apply to the College (or to receive the scholarship if already registered). The best players will then be eligible to receive a one-time $ 5,000 scholarship.
Also, those who will be able to enjoy the scholarship will also get access to the new Apex Legends college competitive team in anticipation of college leagues. In just one month after its release, Apex Legends has captured 50 million players around the world. The Battle Royale of Respawn is available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Who Got Buffed & Nerfed in the first update
Apex Legends received the Battle Pass for its first season. The new patch brought features to alleviate performance problems, by introducing much-needed buffs and nerfs. The Octane legend is available to play while you can purchase the Battle Pass for 950 Apex coins.

Caustic (Buff)
In the new update, Respawn has reduced the recharge time of traps from 30 to 25 seconds. One second delay is no longer the part of the smoke. Moreover, Respawn has also reduced the cooldown time of the gas grenade. The number went from 2:30 to 2:00 seconds. While the developer has increased the proximity radius by 10%.
Pathfinder (Buff)
Grapple distance has received a buff from 850 to 900. Respawn has buffed the passive of the legend, Insider knowledge.Now the number of beacons in the world has increased from 10 to 12.
Bangalore (Nerf)
When hit, Bangalore used to get a speed bonus for a short time thanks to its passive ability. Being very agile, the legend was unbalanced and so received a nerf in the new update. Its Double-Time bonus has dropped from 40% to 30%.
